Join People's Trust
To become a member, all you need is to open a Savings Account with at least $5.00. Once your membership is processed, you will have immediate access to the full range of People's Trust products and services including different types of savings accounts, loans, online services and access to People’s Trust Investment Services and People’s Trust Insurance Agency.
People's Trust products and services are only available to our members. Please refer to the list below to determine your eligibility for membership:
- Employees of Shell and its subsidiaries
- Employees of Select Employee Groups
- Individuals who live, work, worship or attend school within the Houston city limits
- Immediate family members of existing members or eligible individuals
- Members of the People's Trust Foundation
The following items will be needed to process your membership:
- Valid government issued ID
- Completed Membership Application
- At least $5.00 for opening deposit

Important information about opening an account
The USA Patriot Act requires credit unions to take extra security precautions to help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities. Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person opens an account.
When you open a People's Trust account, you will be required to provide your name, physical address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may ask to see your driver's license or other identifying government issued documents. Please know that we are required to verify the information that you provided in your application with consumer reporting agencies such as Transunion and/or ChexSystems.
