September 10th Fraud Alert
"Phishing" scams are using new tactics to attempt to defraud credit union members. E-mails are now claiming that reputable organizations, such as CUNA or NCUA, have created an automated telephone service which will inform you of fraudulent activity.
Please be aware, neither CUNA or NCUA currently use a system of this nature. In addition, these organizations do not retain or manage People's Trust credit cards, debit cards, or online banking information. If you receive an e-mail of this nature or an automated phone call requesting personal financial information, do not provide any information.
