Important Notice Regarding non-VISA PIN-less Debit Card Transactions
Please be advised that People’s Trust Federal Credit Union allows non-Visa debit transaction processing, and does not require that all such transactions be authenticated with your Personal Identification Number (PIN).
These transactions are enabled through the STAR and PULSE Networks, which are associated with your People’s Trust Federal Credit Union VISA® Debit Card. Examples of these types of transactions are listed below:
A purchase made at a merchant through the VISA network, where the amount is under $25, does not require a signature or PIN for authentication purposes. The STAR and PULSE networks also allows PIN-less bill-payment debits and credits for specific merchant types such as utility, property management and government payments.
Please note that the terms and conditions of your agreement with us relating to VISA debit transactions do not apply to non-VISA debit transactions. For example, the additional limits on liability (sometimes referred to as Visa's zero-liability program) and the streamlined error resolution procedures offered on VISA debit card transactions are not applicable to transactions processed on a PIN-Debit Network* or PIN-less non-VISA Network.
