People’s Trust Foundation is happy to announce the four winners of the 2012 Betty L. Bukowski Financial Literacy Scholarship. Open to members or children of members, the winners were selected from a pool of seventeen applicants based on their GPAs, standardized test scores, extracurricular activities, recommendations, and a 500 word essay describing how the recent economic downturn will affect them as a young adult going to college and how, through financial literacy, they can overcome those negative roadblocks in their future.
The following students each received a $2,500 scholarship: Justin Goodall, Willis High School; Jessica Hand from St. Pius X High School; Thomas Fuller, Stratford High School; and Michelle Lee (not pictured) from St. Agnes High School.
