People’s Trust Federal Credit Union Breaks Ground in EaDo
HOUSTON, TEXAS (July 28, 2015) - People’s Trust Federal Credit Union hosted a special ceremony last week to commemorate the groundbreaking of their corporate headquarters and expansion to support the continued growth of the city of Houston and their membership.
The credit union’s senior management, board of directors, employees, community leaders, and business partners gathered as the groundbreaking was commemorated with speeches by Angela McCathran, People’s Trust President and Chief Executive Officer, and Stephanie Macey, East Downtown District Management Board Member.
“People’s Trust is a fantastic addition to EaDo and is a true sign that the neighborhood is maturing,” said Macey.
The 413 Bastrop Street flagship office is located on the block between Prairie and Preston near the Houston Dynamo soccer stadium. The new building is designed to deliver financial services more efficiently totaling 26,000 square feet with 4,000 square feet dedicated to member facing operations, member lounge areas and a coffee and refreshment bar, and two outdoor ATMs. With the community as a main focus and priority, there will be a large multi-purpose room for community partners and special event gatherings equipped with a large TV panel for presentations and multimedia sharing.
“We are honored to be the first financial institution to serve the EaDo community, and we look forward to opening our doors the summer of 2016,” said McCathran.
The ceremony came to a close with a special check presentation. McCathran awarded a generous donation to Clinical Director Lisa Levine of the Houston Area Women’s Center for their local back to school project.
