People’s Trust Federal Credit Union Holds Topping Out Ceremony for New Corporate Headquarters
HOUSTON, TEXAS (January 28, 2016) - People’s Trust, A Financial Cooperative, held the Topping Off Ceremony for its new corporate headquarters at 413 Bastrop Street, Houston, Texas in the East Downtown District commonly known as EaDo. The property sits adjacent to Minute Maid Park and the Houston Dynamo soccer stadium. The ceremony marks a significant construction milestone signifying the structural steel work of the building is complete.
“To symbolize and represent the success and commitment to the communities we serve, board members, employees and representatives from Level 5, our design and build firm, signed a commemorative steel beam,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Angela McCathran.
McCathran also reported that despite minor setbacks the project is running according to schedule and we expect to move into the building in October 2016.
The new corporate headquarters will stand three stories tall and will be visible from Highway 59. The facility totals 26,000 square feet allowing space for all corporate departments with 4,000 square feet dedicated to member and community service including member lounge areas, two outdoor ATMs, a coffee and refreshment bar and a community room.
“The new location’s community room is designed for free financial education programs in support of advancing financial literacy of Houstonians and serves as a community meeting space for local businesses of the communities we serve,” said Community Outreach Director Linda Birt.
