People’s Trust Supports Higher Education with Foundation Scholarship Opportunities
HOUSTON, TEXAS (February 6, 2016) - People’s Trust, A Financial Cooperative, is offering five scholarships for higher education through their foundation, the People’s Trust Foundation established in 2006.
“We’ve been awarding thousands of dollars annually to local students and members of the credit union since 2007,” said Linda Birt, Community Outreach Director. “We’re proud to support continued education making an impact in the communities we serve.”
Scholarships are available for graduating seniors and current college students with at least 30 hours of college credits completed. There will be four Betty L. Bukowski Financial Literacy Scholarships of $2,500 awarded to graduating high school seniors and one Patricia L. Garcia Continuing Education Scholarship of $5,000 awarded to one existing college student at the credit union’s annual meeting scheduled for April 19, 2016.
“The deadline for scholarship applications is March 25th,” stated Patrick Flynn, Marketing Manager. He added all scholarship eligibility requirements can be found at peoplestrustfoundation.org.
