People's Trust Federal Credit Union was founded in 1935, but our principles remain unchanged. An advantage to joining People's Trust is that we return our profits to members in the form of higher interest rates on savings, lower loan rates, and reduced fees for services.

As a financial co-op, our core purpose is to assist our members in becoming financially secure. People's Trust is a full service financial institution designed to meet your unique needs. Who Can Join? People's Trust products and services are only available to members. Please refer to the list below to determine your eligibility for membership:

Employees of Shell and its subsidiaries
Employees of Select Employee Groups
Individuals who live or work within the Houston city limits
Immediate family members of existing members or eligible individuals
Household members of existing members

Not eligible? No problem. Donors to the People’s Trust Foundation are automatically eligible for People’s Trust membership. All that is required is a donation of at least $5* to the Foundation, along with a completed Eligibility Form. Learn more about the People's Trust Foundation here.

How To Join. To become a member, all you need is to open a Savings Account with at least $5*. Once your membership is processed, you will have immediate access to the full range of People's Trust products and services, including loans and online services.

The following items will be needed to process your membership:

A completed member application. Click here to download now.
A copy of your valid ID (Driver’s License, other state-issued ID, Military ID, Passport)
A check or money order for at least $5*

*Individuals qualifying for membership by joining the People’s Trust Foundation are required to make a $5 deposit into a People’s Trust savings account, as well as make a minimum donation of $5 to the Foundation.
