Update Regarding Branches
Due to the increase of COVID-19 cases in Harris County, People’s Trust is taking additional precautionary measures and is changing our lobby access back to "by appointment only," effective Saturday, June 27, 2020.
While lobby traffic will be limited to appointments, we are still here to serve you and your financial needs.
Lobby Services
Lobby Services include instant issue debit cards, debit card PIN resets, wires, and account maintenance that cannot be handled through the drive thru. Please call us for cash or check transactions that cannot be made via ATM or Mobile Deposit. Shared branching is temporarily suspended. Click here to make an appointment. If you are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19, we will not be able to assist you in our lobbies.
Drive Thru Services
Our Drive Thru lanes will be operational during normal business hours. Most transactions can be completed in the drive thru. Drive Thrus are located at our Galleria and Westside branches.
Masks are Required
For your safety and the safety of our employees - anyone entering the building will be required to wear a face mask. If you prefer not to wear a mask, we will assist you in the drive thru.
Social Distancing
To ensure safe distances between both members and employees, we ask that you maintain at least 6 feet from others in the lobby. We will have reminders in the lobbies, including floor markers to indicate safe waiting distances.
Plexiglass Protective Shields
When you visit our branch lobbies, you will notice that our member services pods have been fitted with plexiglass protective shields and offices have them on the desks. In areas where you encounter these protective shields, we ask that you please remain on the opposite side of the protective shields, maintaining your position with the shield between you and our employees.

Relief Options Will End Soon
We are always proud to serve our members and be a source of relief for you during uncertain times. As our country reopens and returns to normal, we will continue to extend relief until the end of June. We are looking forward to brighter days as we overcome this pandemic together.
As of June 30, 2020, the following COVID-19 relief items will be discontinued:
- $2,500 Relief Loan
- Skip-a-Pays at No Charge
- Penalty Waiver on Early Certificate Withdrawals
- Refinance Fee Waived for In-House Refinance Loans
- Fee Waived on Incoming Domestic Wires
- Waiver of $5 per Day Overdrawn Share Fee (Days 11 to 20)
- Waiver of Excessive Withdrawal Fee on Member Savings

Select Branches to Return to Unrestricted Lobby Access June 1, 2020
People’s Trust is preparing to return to unrestricted lobby hours to serve our members. As we have planned our reopening, we have done so with three words in mind: Cautiously, Carefully and Purposefully.
We are looking forward to more normal branch visits, however, we are taking additional steps to ensure our members’ and employees’ safety. Please read more to find out about what you can expect when you visit one of our branches.
The following branches will open June 1, 2020.
- Westside
- Galleria
- EaDo
- DSC (New Hours: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
Shell Woodcreek, Shell Westhollow, and Houston Chronicle branches remain closed due to those facilities being closed.
When visiting, here’s what you can expect:
Appointments Encouraged
While we have never officially closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, branch visits have been by appointment only since April. It has worked very well, and we encourage you to make an appointment for non-transactional services such as opening a new account or loan, notary service, debit card issues, and HomeBranch issues. Make an appointment at www.appointment.peoplestrustfcu.org.
Use the Drive Thru
Our drive thrus will remain open during normal business hours to assist you, without you having to get out of your car. Most transactions can be completed in the drive thru. Drive thrus are located at our Galleria and Westside branches.
Limited Members in Lobby
Following recommendations of federal and local authorities to ensure safe distancing, we are limiting how many people can be in our branch lobbies at one time. Signs at all locations will indicate the maximum number for that location. If the branch lobby is at capacity when you arrive, an employee will check you in, take down your phone number and you will be asked to wait in your car until we are ready to serve you. We will call or text you to come inside when we are ready to serve you.
Masks are Required
Because our employees will be meeting with numerous members throughout the day in fairly close quarters - for your safety and the safety of our employees - anyone entering the building will be required to wear a face mask. If you prefer not to wear a mask, we will assist you in the drive thru.

Second Automatic Skip-A-Pay
If you have an auto or personal loan with us, as of April 23rd, your next loan payment has been automatically skipped and advanced to the next month, free of charge.
If you have an automatic payment set up to pay your loan, be sure to cancel it for the automatic skipped payment to be processed. If you have a loan payment setup from another financial institution, please contact us regarding any payment reversals. Also, if you do not want to take advantage of the automatic Skip-A-Payment, simply make your payment on your normal due date.
Please be aware that Credit Cards and Real Estate loans are not eligible for skipped payments, although we do strongly encourage you to call us to discuss what options could be available to you.

As we continue to monitor and prepare for the potential impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), People’s Trust is taking immediate, proactive measures to limit the risk of potential exposure and keep our employees and members safe. Therefore, we have decided to postpone our Annual Meeting Celebration scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2020 until further notice. A “make-up” date has not yet been set.
The business portion of the Annual Meeting will still be held on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at 9:30 AM.
At this time, our plan is to hold the meeting virtually and have members join online, however we have not finalized all logistics yet. More information will be sent out at a later date.

At People’s Trust, we are preparing for the potential
impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and are taking steps
to ensure the availability of our services to members. We have a formal
Business Continuity Plan (that includes pandemic preparedness) to help
ensure we can provide ongoing critical service levels to our
members. This includes the ability of staff to work from home and
cross-training to ensure backups are available for critical roles. Our
management team is closely monitoring our risk and preparedness for this
changing situation.
Actions we are taking currently include:
· Monitoring Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) updates
and outbreaks, educating employees, and increasing hygiene efforts
· Actively working with our critical vendors to
confirm their preparedness
· Additional cleaning/disinfecting of branch
offices by cleaning crews
· Assessing our employees’ ability to work
remotely, if necessary
· Asking members who visit the branch to help us
in the practice of social distancing
