Why was the computer system upgraded?

We are always looking for innovative ways to enhance member services. Upgrading the core of our computer banking system is one way we can improve your banking experience.

The upgrade will allow us to quickly respond to your needs and introduce new capabilities as technology evolves.

In fact, our core upgrade will allow our staff to serve you more efficiently. With less time waiting for the system to calculate, we can spend more time helping you reach your financial goals.

While the core upgrade is a massive project, we're confident that you'll find it worth the effort. And, most importantly, we appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this process. Rest assured, we've taken steps to ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible.

1. Superior information protection
Upgrading our computer system has already given us additional backup systems and offsite data centers for the protection of your account data. This decreases potential for service interruptions and allows us to recover from a hurricane or disaster more quickly – giving you access to your funds when you need them the most.

2. Instant-issue photo debit cards
We're adding the ability to instantly issue a debit card and personal identification number (PIN) when you open a checking account in person. Lost your card? We'll offer you a same day replacement, or one can be sent via overnight mail to your address.

3. Updated online check images
Online check images will be updated daily rather than weekly. Depending on how the presenting financial institution processes your check, your check image may be available as soon as the next business day. Updated online check images give you key information that can help you reconcile your account and detect fraud.

4. Rapid credit card updates
Track your spending in real-time using HomeBranch. As we upgrade our systems, credit card purchases will be posted online within 15 minutes. You'll also be able to check your credit card balance using M.A.R.T.I.

5. Instant direct deposit & payroll posting
If you have direct deposit, you'll appreciate that our upgrade will allow us to process your payroll within minutes of being received; no matter what time of day or night it is sent. You'll have access to your funds faster than ever.

6. Faster loan response time
With our upgraded system, most members will receive an instant decision on their auto loan, personal loan, or credit card application. As always, People's Trust will take the time to review your unique situation when necessary.

7. Web-based mortgage application
We’re introducing an online mortgage system that demystifies real estate financing. Most members will receive an instant decision and those who are approved can print their own pre-approval letter 24/7. Plus, we’re eliminating mailing and faxing by allowing you to upload .pdf documents directly to the system. Then you can track the status of your application in real-time and view progress on the items required to close.
