Money Market Accounts
Money Market Accounts are more flexible than a traditional Certificate, allowing access to the funds while offering a competitive Annual Percentage Yield. However, members are able to make up to six (6) pre-authorized, automatic or telephone transfers from their money market account. Only three (3) of these transactions may be made by check, draft, or debit.
Our Money Market points reward account holders for taking advantage of additional People’s Trust products and services. One (1) point can be earned monthly for any of the following:
- A loan balance over $1,000
- Five (5) signature based debit card transactions in the prior month
- Checking balance over $1,000
- Direct Deposit or payroll deduction
- Active user of Bill Payer service
- Receiving E-Statements
- Membership with the credit union of 20 years or more
- A Membership Savings Account
- A Money Market Account
- Certificate Account over $1,000
- Credit Card Balance over $1,000
- Line of Credit with a Balance over $1,000
Access your People’s Trust Money Market account 24 hours a day with HomeBranchâ„¢ mobile app available for iPhone, iPad, Android phone and tablet. To find out how many points you currently have or to enroll in HomeBranch, call Member Services at 713.428.3200 or 800.321.2411.
Disclaimer: There is a chance that the consolidation of tiers may have a negative impact on your dividend rate. The Rate differential will not be paid to members who otherwise qualify but have a loan past due 60 days or more, an unpaid balance on a charged-off loan, an overdue negative account balance or more than six (6) withdrawals from the money market account in the prior month. Points will be based on the previous month activity, calculated at the end of the month and paid on the first of the following month. As with all accounts at People’s Trust Federal Credit Union, deposit accounts are insured up to $250,000.00 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
